We’re glad you asked! You may have heard of other terms such as health sharing and medical sharing, but what Christian Healthcare cost sharing in Indiana comes down to is quite simple. They are Programs provided by Health Care Sharing Ministries that allow Christian Communities all over the country to help each other by sharing Eligible medical costs.

Health Care Sharing Ministries aren’t the same thing as Christian health insurance, though. The differences boil down to certain legalities that separate insurance plans from medical cost-sharing ministries. While Christian health shares in Indiana and across the nation are used to facilitate the voluntary sharing of the cost of Eligible medical bills among Members, Christian health insurance do not.

Medical health sharing can help others in their Faith Community with their Eligible medical bills when they need it most. To do this, Members of a health sharing ministry contribute funds on a monthly basis, some of which are set aside to share in each other's medical bills.
